Holy Cow Patty
my personal blog is taking a back seat to summer and work committments.
I am hopeful that the start of high school soccer practice will give me some time to catch up with my own life (while the 14 yr old is sweating his 2% body fat off in the heat).
Good news, I should have some pictures of the family room progress soon.
Yes, this is the longest room remodel in the history of the world.
Soul Journaling (#2)
Sarah Whitmire has created this incredible site with tons of prompts for creating a Soul Journal.
Here is my project for days 5, 6 and 9.
Left side:

And the Right:

I have gotten busy with a house project-which is so ironic since my next Soul Journal prompt IS creating a house.
I hope to post those soon!
Soul Journaling (#1)
Sarah Whitmire has created this incredible site with tons of prompts for creating a Soul Journal.
There is even a yahoo group (that I just joined) for additional information, support and news on classes.
I have been trying to get my pictures sent to flickr, and my phone and computer has not cooperated with a thing I have done all day…
But FINALLY…
The pages on Armor…

I might add some more text as I go on. The gel isn’t 100% dry and is messing with my pens.
Christmas Wrapping!
Visit my Christmas Wrapping Set on Flickr to see all the presents wrapped. Yes, it is a theme.
Addictive Crafty Project
Cathie Filan has instructions to make a Recycled Card Ornament on her blog. And I think tons of people have made them in the past in art class or maybe geometry class….
I saw them in Martha Stewart Living last year and went completely insane making them with old Christmas cards and photos that I had never scrapbooked. (odd not on her site)
Honestly, the photo balls were my favorite because you could do one for each kid or group them by family…I was going to say I wish I had pictures.

And then…I just went and created one and photographed the whole process-so head on over to flickr and check that puppy out!
For this project all you need is the following:
- Christmas Cards or Photos-enough to get 20 circles punched or cut
- Scissors or a circle punch (that is at least 1 1/2″ big (smaller will be really hard to work with)
- Glue (I like Sobo)
- A TON of small binder clips-you can use paper clips in a pinch, but they create a wave in the cards
- 6″ of ribbon
- small scrap of cardstock
- small piece of cardboard
- pen
Between my pictures and Cathie’s DIY..you might have 10 of these popped out by tomorrow!
This is How We do it in Kentucky!
Happy Holidays from my neighborhood to yours.
Doesn’t this just rock?
Oh My Baby!
Just turned 14.
Wow.
I could go on and on about his birth story but my sister will punish the (now) 14 yr old with that later today as she has done EVERY YEAR of his life. I can imagine when he is 55 and my sister will be wrinkled up and toothless telling him the SAME story.
I love my family.
I like the way I wrapped his present more than I do what’s inside!
I had the most fun doing this and making the tag…
Here is a detail of that:
Never miss a crafty thing I blog- Subscribe in a reader.
Oh lookie what I made!

For the past 10 years, since my grandmother on my mom’s side got sick (and later passed away) I was in charge of making the cream cheese and olive spread for celery.
MY FAVORITE!
But, I know that not all small children like olives or even cream cheese, but they will eat the peanut butter!
So, today I tried something and it is GOOD!
I eyeballed all of this so I can’t tell you exactly how much but…
365 Peanut butter (no hydrogenated anything in that puppy)
Honey
Dried Cranberries.
Celery
Chopped those berries up in my handy dandy pampered chef chopper (another favorite) and mixed them in with the 2 squirts of honey and peanut butter.
The consistency needs to stay thick enough to not run out of the celery…and that is the only guideline I have.
Spouselet said it also rocks on a whole grain cracker…
Just so you know.
Ok, now we are taking all of our home made numminess to my mama’s house.
I have the Canon battery charging so I hope to have some great pictures later!
Enjoy your families on this wonderful day of thanks.
