Great Taste!

I just got an email that is totally work related.  I am assuming they want me to do some kind of press release thingy for a group of sales associates that just finished this awesome training course.

And I will…
Eventually.

but first, I just had to share this:
floydblackberry

someone in that class is not only super real estate smart, they have the same blackberry cover as I do.

And yes, I notice the littlest ole things.
Here is the original image:

As soon as I get a list of the people in the picture AND who owns that cover…I will get the press release done!

Looks like I am not the only one

I used to covet the iPhone.
I told my family the minute that apple broke ties with AT&T we all three were getting one.  That.Very.Day.

I don’t really feel that way anymore.  I love my blackberry.

and

I LOVE Verizon Wireless.
I am with Verizon because of my serious dislike for AT&T.

I have this issue, about transparency and telling me something and then standing behind or on your word.  If you tell me you are going to do something, I kinda expect you to do it.

If you don’t, I get really angry.
I can also hold a grudge.

This morning on Mashable there was an article about AT&T’s satisfaction rating according to Consumer Reports.
Oh OUCH.
It doesn’t look good for my former carrier if they were to lose the iPhone-heck according to some of the comments, people are leaving even WITH the iPhone.

Awhile back I had an issue with my cell phone.

It didn’t work, and by didn’t work, I mean it would turn itself off…or reboot or do some horrible messed up thing that didn’t allow you to make or receive calls.   I have not had a house phone for over 5 years and my cell IS the only way for someone to reach me for business and personal.  Having a functional device at ALL TIMES is paramount.  I know I am not the only human on the planet to feel this way.

I got a note from AT&T about being eligible for a new phone and I jumped on it because, well, the one I had sucked.  I went into the store and explained the issue to the sales person.  I didn’t want a brand new device with no track record.  I wanted something that I knew would function.  He assured me that if this phone did not perform that they would give me a device that would.

I guess what he failed to mention is that it would be a different phone but the same model.

Really, NOT DIFFERENT.

When this phone started the same stuff that the other phone was doing, I went back in and the people said, oh we don’t ever give you a different model when there are issues.  EVER.

Even if the person threatens to break contract?
Never.
So, I broke contract.
Ok, first I went to Verizon and got a new number and changed my voice mail on the AT&T phone telling everyone that I changed my number and THEN I wrote them a check.

I vowed that day to NEVER go back to AT&T no matter what.
The iPhone was the only thing that made me regret that proclamation, and only briefly.

I have since realized my thumbs are to fat to use the virtual keyboard (same with blackberry storm and any other touch screen).

My solution?
Blackberry AND an iTouch (when my precious Gen II Nano’s battery finally dies….)

What has your experience been with your phone carrier?
Is it a love hate or a love love?

Livestrong Strikes Again

I used the daily plate back in January to log all of my food and exercise and it was so very successful. Since then I have fallen way off the weight loss wagon and need serious intervention.

Luckily for me, Livestrong (Yo’ Lance, you rock) now has a blackberry app. I can log all my food and exercise on the go, which has been my biggest issue since soccer started this spring.

Crackberry

crackberry

On Sunday, before the first of two soccer games, my first ‘berry love, died a horrible, white screen of doom death.

The little man at The Verizon Store was so cute with his “I am so sorry”s. I think he said that about 10 times, he felt my discomfort and distress.

All my contacts.
Gone.
All my pictures.
Gone.

I back up my computer all the time, but not the crackberry.
That won’t happen again.

Even though I had a replacement phone, I twitched for two days straight until I had the replacement love in my hot little hand.

All will be well with the world as soon as I install the software to back up my crack-data.
